"Kalrav Shree Vihangrath" Save Birds Public Awareness Campaign
In Gujarat, the Kite-Flying Fastival Uttarayan is celebrated with great fanfare, during which kites are also flown in the sky. Birds are also injured by kite string while flying kites. Therefore, for the first time in 2017, the Kalarav Shri Vihang Rath awareness campaign was conducted in Vadodara city with the purpose of creating a sense of compassion in the people by the Wildlife Trust with the message of the Chief Minister of Gujarat. After that, every year, this campaign is conducted by the trust in the first week of the month of January in the city and the surrounding area. So that the birds injured by the kite strings get timely treatment and the death rate of the injured birds is reduced.
Project Green Hand
Project Green Hands is a tree plantation drive program. Which is an initiative to plant trees in urban and rural areas and preserve trees throughout the year. In this study, we go to various schools and encourage the school students to plant and grow trees. We also give an understanding of the role of planted trees in the environment and their importance.
Project "F3"
Project "F3" is a campaign to create public awareness about wildlife and the environment among the people of India. Under this activity, the importance of trees for wildlife, biodiversity, and water storage is explained to people and students in schools, colleges, universities, gram sabhas, panchayats in cities and villages, and awakened. So that the coming future becomes safe.
Birds Rescue and Rehabilitation Camp
During Uttarayan, first aid centres and temporary operation theatres are set up in cities and villages for injured birds by kite strings. So that the injured birds get medical treatment. And if the bird is in a healthy condition after the treatment, it is assumed to be released in a suitable environment.
Sprrow Day
World Sparrow Day is celebrated every year on March 20 to raise awareness about the importance of sparrows and other common birds in urban environments. The day also calls for the conservation of these birds and the threats to their populations. With the noble purpose of saving house sparrows in the city, people come to work to save house sparrows by distributing sparrow garlands to create public awareness about sparrows.
NEC
The main objective of the nature education camp is to sensitise people towards nature and to do conservation work related to wildlife and the environment. In which the students and teachers of schools, universities, colleges, and institutes are taken to nature and understand the importance of wildlife and the environment.
